Exterior Membrane Waterproofing System

Delta-MSDELTA®-MS is a highly effective foundation waterproofing system, based on a uniquely formed air-gap membrane, and is made of a special high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin.

The membrane is remarkably impermeable to water and water vapor and unaffected by acidic or alkaline environments.

DELTA®-MS is the only dimpled membrane in the market of its kind.  It  is significantly more resilient to environmental influences like oxygen, acidic soils or alkaline environments (concrete wall), etc. Tests performed by independent and accredited laboratories prove the unrivaled long-term performance.

The membrane is vacuum formed in a dimpled pattern to create an air-gap at the foundation wall. This unique design allows any water getting past the dimpled membrane to fall freely to the footer drain.

Foundation Sealant

Interior System System Diagram

The sump pump system is designed to capture water that enters the basement or crawlspace and redirect it away from the home.  The basic sump systems include a sump pit, a sump pump, float or switch and drain line. The sump pit extends below the slab and collects the surface water that enters the basement or crawlspace or groundwater that rises to the slab.

When the water in the sump pit rises to a preset level, a float rises or pressure switch activates the sump pump.  The water is then pumped through a drain line to either a storm sewer, dry well or the exterior, away from the foundation.

Drainage flashing is a simpler, less expensive interior drain.  It channels water that flows down a basement wall to the under slab drainage system, no matter the source.  It could be a leaky window, wall crack, block wall crack, foundation tie hole or pipe penetration.  It also channels water that flows through the basement wall and footing joint.  This is often times seen as water flowing up through the crack between the wall and floor.  After being diverted to the interior drainage system, a sump pump will remove the collected water.  Or the interior drainage system may drain water by gravity to a point outside the home.

Floor Guard

floor guardBasements with inadequate water drainage can have water coming up through the cracks in a floor and at the joint between the floor and wall. Installation of a 4" corrugated drain tile, surrounded by washed stone and emptying into a sump pump will keep your home's basement dry.  The purpose of the drain tile is to collect any water that leaks through a basement wall, crack or up through the joint between the floor and wall.

Removal of 18" of the concrete floor slab is needed to allow placement of the drain tile, and washed stone is added to protect the drain tile.  The drain tile flows to a sump pit which holds the sump pump.  Finally, the sump pump removes the water from the home.

Its features include:1/3 HP cast iron housing with plastic vortex impeller; 9ft. power cord;  Powder coated epoxy CI and SS fasteners; Oil filled motor with thermal overload.

Interior Drainage Systems

Trenches and troughs are depressions in the foundation floor that collect and funnel water to a specific location and are sometimes used to direct water to a sump pump.  In crawlspaces, trenches are usually dug into the dirt floor. In basements, perimeter drain troughs are created at the junction between the slab and foundation wall.
